sza’ro.mi / Maciej Rakowski Born in 1985 in Lublin, he is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Warsaw University of Technology. In 2015, he and his team received the second prize in the SARP architectural competition for the revalorization concept of the Museum of Literature in Warsaw. In 2022, his photo album project “n_ii” was presented at the “Young to Start” exhibition as part of the Gdynia Design Days festival. In 2023, he showcased his drawings at his first solo exhibition, „Dialogue of Generations,” at the Center for Culture, Promotion, and Tourism in Kazimierz Dolny. Maciej Rakowski creates minimalist monochromatic miniatures made with ink and pencil, enhanced with collage elements. His works often incorporate fragments of cut-up photographic slides, stamps, and old, yellowed paper. His art exists at the intersection of abstraction and the representation of space.
