Maria Iwan
Maria Iwan is a student at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She primarily focuses on watercolor painting and chemical photography, but she also explores various other fields, including ceramics, intaglio printing, bookbinding, and painting old furniture. Maria has a passion for ethnographic museums, fairy tales, and working with children. She creates to express her vivid imagination and the feeling that there is always something indescribable just behind her. Her art—whether in painting, ceramics, or graphics—is predominantly decorative. She aims to inspire a natural desire in viewers to beautify their surroundings through her work, often incorporating floral motifs and themes from nature as primary sources of beauty, alongside whimsical elements. Maria particularly enjoys painting on utilitarian objects, allowing art to accompany users even in their mundane activities.
