Magdalena Buk

Magdalena Buk, born in 1995, is an interdisciplinary artist engaged with archival photography, graphic design, and painting. She creates installations and objects. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, she defended her master’s thesis with distinction in the Literature Interpretation Studio under the supervision of Dr. hab. Prof. Grzegorz Hańderka and Assistant Dr. Małgorzata Szandała. She has participated in numerous projects and exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. Currently, she lives and works in Katowice. Magdalena’s work, inspired by everyday life and emotions, focuses on painting and visual art. Her key painting project explores the transience of moments and memories, drawing from photography and Instagram. She is particularly interested in multi-layered stories, archives, and people.
